Awesome Deal for Christmas!

Just wanted to quickly share a sweet deal from Amazon (since I definitely took advantage for Christmas shopping)!

Today they're offering up to 50% off Melissa & Doug toys -
Both Livi and Elli love their toys, and they are at a crazy price right now! I picked up this cookie set to go with the cupcake set we already have and is one of the toys they play with the most! Their pots and pans set is also half off right now from $30 to $15!

Getting into the (Miami) Holiday Spirit

Happy weekend everyone! I hope you all are enjoying it - it's so weird having weekends off like a "normal" person again! Although poor N - he's working a 24 hour shift today covering the eye hospital emergency room. But me and the girls have already cleaned the entire house (ok, most of the house) and gotten some Christmas shopping done - we even made it out to a reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! So much fun!

It's been easier than expected to still get into the holiday spirit here in Miami despite not having the cold temperatures and necessary bundling up. The temperature is still a little bit cooler than it was in the summer months, and the key is dressing in easy layers! I can still get away with wearing a cute ankle boot (I shared these on my snapchat last week and so many of you wanted to know where they were from - they're by Sofft and on sale 25% off right now)! They've also got great cushion and a nice chunky heel that makes them totally reasonable for clinic days!

Throwing on a light sweater still gives me that cozy feel, and usually it's needed in the air conditioned indoors anyway! If I'm out near the water the sweater is definitely necessary since there's always a breeze, and if the sweater isn't necessary, I always make sure to have a tank top underneath so I can take it off if need be!

Boots  //  Sweater  //  Leggings  //  Bag  //  Glasses  //  Watch (get 15% off your Daniel Wellington purchase with code LAURALACQUER15)

On top of what I wear, the city itself has been getting dressed up for the holidays too!
This is actually my hospital campus with lights that they put up!

This is the tree at the shopping center near our house! And that's Livi standing in front of it in the turquoise shirt if you can spot her!

I drive by these flashy palm trees every evening picking up Liv from preschool!

Some of my favorite lights in Coconut Grove (with my favorite people - this was on Elli's first birthday last week)!

It's been really nice, we're getting the house set up too! More on that to come in another post ;)

PS - There are tons of great sales still going on this weekend! My entire outfit is all on sale, most pieces are at least 25% off or more! Check the rest of the sales below!

JCPenney - up to 30% off sale items  // code 44BUYNOW

Ann Taylor - extra 50% off all sale // no code necessary

Baublebar - 25% off 2 items or more // code GIFT25 (I wish I knew what the initial for our 3rd baby would be because I would totally be asking Santa for this special necklace with all 3 of my babies' initials)!

Enjoy the rest of your weekends everyone!! xx

Fall Essentials

Happy almost weekend!! Sharing some fall essentials on the blog today - all at great prices!

1. Classic watch - you guys know I wear my Daniel Wellington everyday. I have multiple different color straps (black, dark brown, and this lighter brown/cognac color). For the last month I have only been wearing this color and find it really goes with everything! And right now it's only $100!

2. Comfortable carry-all bag in a new neutral - I'm a sucker for neutrals, but sometimes it's fun to change it up a bit and a deep olive green is the perfect neutral for fall! I love the thick strap on this bag that makes for comfortable carrying.

3. Simple patterned scarf - the scarves come out in fall! And this one doesn't disappoint, in a simple color pattern with enough fun to spice up any outfit.

4. Over the knee boots - these were HUGE last fall and aren't going anywhere this season! I'm about to pull the trigger on these babies - you seriously cannot beat the price at only $136! They also come in black and a light grey as well. Classic riding boots (not pictured) are also coming back out for the fall, and these ones are currently my favorite!

5. Cozy sweaters - these dominate the colder temperature closet, and I love ones that can be worn dressed up for work or down for the weekend - and all of these fit the bill. Included here are my picks for chunky sweater, turtleneck, and crewneck.

What are some of your favorite fall essentials?

The most comfortable/adorable/affordable flats

Alrighty y'all - I'm always getting questions about comfortable flats for the hospital and clinic - and I've done multiple posts on the matter!

I can now officially say I have a favorite. I still love my crocs flats, and they really do provide the best cushion, but I've found that they're not great for doing serious walking - days that I'm all over the medical campus I still get the occasional blister! I will say, though, I wore my crocs all last year (intern year) and they were so comfortable being on your feet - but I really just walked from my car to the work room and then here and there in our small hospital. Seriously the crocs were still the best. Now though, my walking is from one hospital to another hospital a block down and then all over different floors of city-like hospitals - it's just really way more walking! So if you're doing walking like that, the crocs can end up rubbing the wrong way.

The winner that's actually emerged are my little Payless ballet flats. And they're now on sale. And I selfishly bought 2 more pairs before publishing this post because I'd be really sad if my size sold out! (I got the quilted cream and leopard for any of you curious lol, one $30, the other $15, and then buy one get one 50% off and free shipping)! Their memory foam bed is super comfortable and the (fake) leather and elastic trim is so soft and flexible - they've literally never bothered my feet and in fact feel like slippers! There's no breaking in required. They've come out on top and are now my go-to shoe for still looking put together but also staying oh-so-comfortable all day! And they come in so many styles! Check out my picks above (there's style 1 and style 2, both almost identical) and do yourself a favor and buy a pair (or two or three).

And a little hint - since I always search for coupon codes, I used the code ZZRTMN15 for another 15% off that worked! If that doesn't work try ZZBONUS for 10% off ;)

Memorial Day Picks - Splurge and Save Edition!

striped dress save (loving this striped dress steal as well!) vs striped dress splurge

have to include this pink option for sunglasses too! sunglasses splurge vs sunglasses save

Their CC cream is my current must-have, and I'm really tempted to try their sunscreen oil, what a great concept!

Mothers Day Gifts Ideas for Working Moms

I'll start by saying it's the thought that counts when it comes to gifting, so please don't be offended by my choice of post title, I say it jokingly. But in all honesty, when you search for mothers day gift ideas, almost every list is full of stuff like crockpots and candles and stamp makers and gardening tools... one list even breaks it down by "mom type" - Home CEO, Crafty Mom, Chef Extraordinaire, Fit Mom... I don't think any of these moms work. And while I myself would love some of these gifts and know my stay-at-home mama friends would too (and I love you ladies, and stay at home moms would totally love these gifts too!), I think it's time we had a list for working moms in particular... the Company CEO type. So let's get to it.

A diaper bag that only she will know is a diaper bag - this one by Charlotte + Asher is drop dead gorgeous and can just as easily go from carrying pacifiers and baby wipes to a laptop and business meeting notes. PS - Get 20% off with through July 1st with code LAURALACQUER

A gorgeous notebook - this one comes with lettersize paper that snaps into the notebook - Any mom trying to balance it all will love it! I plan on printing out my own customizable planning sheets onto these pages and snapping them in!

For my pumping-at-work mamas - this one is my dream pump! It's hands-free and wireless so you don't need to find an outlet, and it's small enough to carry with you in your work bag! PS - stay tuned mamas, I'm gonna be doing a huge post on BFing and pumping - and giving one of these away soon)!

Time is always limited, but that doesn't mean we still can't put on a good face! I am in love with this one-and-done do it all makeup product - it's Supergoop CC Cream. I've been using it for the last 2-3 weeks and it has replaced my moisturizer/SPF/foundation - it's the best!

If she's still the one cooking dinner after she gets home from work, gift her a subscription to a meal-planning/prepping service like Plated. Better yet - get the subscription and then cook a meal (or a few) of them before she gets home!

If there's one thing that makes me happy and calm it's a clean home, but finding time to deep clean the way I'd like is always tough with our schedules! Send her a gift card to a home cleaning service and she'll be so thankful!

Apple Watch - I've been reluctant to buy one of these (I think we already have enough notifications, thank you very much)! But I know a few moms who have one and they absolutely love it, so I can't exclude it from the list just because it's not my top choice!

Not to toot my own horn but you could also surprise her with an enrollment to my e-course ;)

I hope you guys loved this list and can find some inspiration for the fantastic and hard working mother in your life!

April Showers

Rounding up some of my favorite light-weight jackets and trenches for spring!

1. coral waterproof rain jacket - so many amazing reviews on this light weight jacket and SO many colors to choose from - I'm in love with this coral one, although the aqua is a close second!

2. long trench - looks amazing on, check out the model!

3. pink trench - seriously my color crush this season.

4. military anorak - super versatile and goes with almost any outfit!

5. black jacket  - can't go wrong with a simple black jacket.

6. waterfall cardigan - technically a sweater, but the perfect extra layer for chillier days.

Sales you don't want to miss!

Happy Friday y'all! Today is a special Friday during this rotation because it's my golden weekend! Meaning I actually have BOTH Saturday and Sunday off! When on inpatient medicine this doesn't happen very often (you guys with normal weekends better appreciate them lol)! Anyway, we're currently recuperating from Liv having a bad GI bug the last 2 days, so the weekend will likely be spent just hanging around here, but that's fine by me!

Today I just quickly wanted to share two big sales going on right now - the first is the shopbop sale that everyone is talking about and perfect for my fashionistas - the second (and honestly the one I'm more excited about) is the diapers.com sale. Also - for those who asked on snapchat about the bouncer Elli is using it's this one! Even with the sale the bouncer is actually still cheaper on Amazon so that's where I linked up (that's where I purchased it years ago for Liv and Ms. Elli loves it)! Ok - to the sales!

Diapers.com is having it's Great Big Baby Sale! 25% off so many major brands it's insane! Just use promo code GREATSALE16!

Seriously so many good brands are a part of this huge sale - some of my tried and true favorites we use for the girls include aden + anais (their burp cloths are some of the best, their swaddles are great too), Fisher Price (a baby classic, love their gear and really considering buying this play yard), Carter's (a good chunk of the girls' clothes is Carter's), OXO (absolutely love all of their food gear, especially once it's time to start introducing solids, two years later their stuff has still lasted all of our dishwashing and Liv's rough handling), Dr. Brown's (the bottles I use for Elli), and so so SO much more (like the diaper bag I'm always talking about). If you or anyone you know is pregnant or have a little one this is the sale to stock up on whatever you need or anticipate needing!

The Shopbop sale is also amazing, but really only translates to big savings if you're already planning on doing some big spending - the way it works is you save a certain percentage off depending on how much money you spend - spend $250+ Save 15%, spend $500+ Save 20%, spend $1000+ Save 25%. Honestly I could never spend that much (or maybe I could lol, but I wouldn't), but I know some of you might (especially with big money items like designer handbags, shoes, etc). If you've been eyeing some big purchases this is the time to make it - if you spent $1000 you'd get $250 off! This might sound super broke/cheap of me but one way to make use of sales like these is to buy together with a friend! A couple of years ago I actually did this with 2 friends - we all added everything we each wanted to the shopping cart to get the biggest discount! Just an idea, especially for my college girls! Make sure to use code BIGEVENT16.

Handbag Sale!

Right now all winter items are on major clearance, and while those of us with a little extra spending money and a little extra storage space will pounce on deals for winter items that we can store until next year, not everyone wants to buy heavy coats and boots with spring right around the corner!

But winter sales still include handbags, and handbags are a year-round thing! Especially in classic colors and fabrics like black and leather, or spring shades like blush and tan, you can't go wrong with these deals!

Details (clockwise):  black hobo  //  michael kors satchel  //  marc jacobs blush backpack  //  wallet  //  bucket bag  //  ipad mini case  //  tan crossbody

New Deal Website!

Hi guys! Today I just wanted to quickly share a new (for me atleast) deal website that I just learned about! It's called MyHabit, and like other flash deal websites that you might be familiar with they feature major discounts on items in short-lived "events!" The only difference (and what has made me already make a few purchases) is that with this site you can checkout using Amazon (meaning you can even use Amazon gift cards for purchases)! My family knows that if they ever need to get me a gift, Amazon gift cards are the way to go (seriously though, where else can you buy pretty much any and everything under the sun)? A lot of the sales feature really high-end brands and are a little out of my price range, but some of the deals are just too good to pass up! Especially the kids/baby items (the stroller set below is $350 - and it's normally a thousand dollars)!! Anywho, just wanted to share it with you guys since I know it was new for me - here are some items from some of their current sales!

Product info:  duvet set  //  dresser  //  handbag  //  stroller system  //  top  //  shoes  //  toy dog

I might have to buy Liv that dog. She saw it on my laptop and now won't stop talking about it lol!

Sales!

Happy Sunday! I'm headed to bed after a long night shift, but I just wanted to quickly share some of my favorite finds that are on sale right now!! I think the bag might be my favorite!!

Product info:  roll-tab top $25 (40% off)  //  nike sweats (25% off)  //  air max premium (some sizes discounted here)  //
tote ($30!!)  //  fitbit (20% off)  //  sign (40% off)  //  mens coat (65% off!!)  //  firming body lotion (25% off)

Valentine's Day Inspiration

Somehow the end of January is already upon us - I only know because I went to the drugstore hoping to find discounted leftover holiday candy canes (I'm addicted to putting them in my coffee!) only to find a new aisle full of Valentine's Day goodies. How did that happen!? While I certainly won't be buying any life-size teddy bears (although this one is pretty awesome), I did get excited for something pretty and pink! Here's some inspiration!

1. instant camera - love these instant cameras, and how fun would it be to take it on a date and get pictures together?

2. lip balm - the reviews on this lip butter are amazing, almost unreal, but I'm dying to try it! I'm thinking the Jasmine sounds the best!

3. heart tumbler - you guys have probably seen me with my starbucks tumbler multiple times now - it's nice to save money brewing your own coffee at home and take on the go! This one would be the perfect new addition to switch it up a bit!

4. midi dress - this dress is HOT, but still covers enough to not look trashy, and it's $20. It comes in plenty of colors too! For those that like long sleeves, I'm loving this dress at a similar price too!

5. clarisonic - one of those things that so many ladies swear by - I absolutely loved mine although it's sadly fallen out of rotation just due to lack of time!

6. watch - this watch is gorgeous with just the tiniest pop of pink - and at such a great price (40% off of what it is at Nordstrom!)

7. water bottle - I love my gold S'well bottle - keeps my water cold all day and doesn't sweat at all! And fits nicely into a bag because of its slim design. The pink is so fun!

8. lace up ballet flats - these flats, in this shade of pink, oh my. I would never call pink a neutral, but this pink is totally a neutral and would be a nice way to change up the usual black/grey/tan!

9. nightshirt - I love this. I need this. Gonna buy this. That is all.

10. essie "fiji" - One of my favorite shades of pink - so pale pink it's almost white, but looks so much prettier. For reference see below. All the heart eyes.

11. purse - This satchel is the perfect size, and made of vegan leather so it's priced really reasonably. It also comes in tons of colors!

I hope you guys have fun plans for Valentine's Day (which can totally mean ice cream and netflix on the couch, that actually sounds heavenly to me)!

Lusting for Sneakers

Walked into the sneaker store the other day and was quickly reminded why I try to stay away - there are so many gorgeous sneakers!!! I'm proud to say that I walked away without spending a dime, but that doesn't mean I'm not still drooling over them! Which ones are your favorite?

I just wanted to pop in quickly this morning and share some amazing sale finds from the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale that just started today! Hurry up because some of my favorite deals (like $90 Hunter boots) have already sold out in many sizes and colors! They won't last long! Happy shopping!

Beauty Gifts and Stocking Stuffers

Hopefully by now most of us have gotten all of our holiday shopping out of the way, but if you're like me you still have a few small things to pick up! Today I'm sharing some of my favorite picks for beauty gifts that also make perfect stocking stuffers! I find that beauty gifts are almost always appreciated, everybody loves a little pampering!

I wouldn't recommend buying a brush gift set for a friend that would never wear makeup, but she may love a new perfume or a pretty moisturizing bar soap! A body brush is another great addition that helps with exfoliating and circulation, giving glowing skin (and some people even believe helping with cellulite, although I'm not quite sold on those claims). A sleep mask like this one would also be a fun stocking stuffer (and great for the friend that travels frequently or works third shift and has to sleep during the day)!

For the minimalist beauty lover (ie, they prefer good skincare and natural-looking makeup), this cheek stain gives a gorgeous glow, and although I was initially hesitant to use it on my lips thinking it might be drying, it's gorgeous (and not drying at all) on the lips as well! A great multi-tasker (and so pretty too)! These undereye gels are a fabulous treat that depuff like magic! This cleansing sponge is a great gentle exfoliator for the face, and even comes in a charcoal option for acne-prone skin. Speaking of acne-prone skin, this spot treatment has the blemish fighters (including salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and witch hazel). For legs and body that could use a little glow (so pretty much all of us in December!) this shimmer oil gives a beautiful sheen to legs! I love that it even blurs away some of the annoying tiny spider veins I started getting with this most recent pregnancy (it's totally just an optical illusion, but I'll take what I can get)! See some more ideas below!

Happy (and beautiful) gifting everyone!! Thanks to ShopStyle Collective and Anthropologie for sponsoring this post!

Gift Guide: Fitness Gifts

Here's to hoping N is going to see this post and get me these sneakers!! Lol! In all seriousness, though, loving all of these gift ideas for the person trying to stay active in your life - I think the watch may be the coolest! In my opinion so much nicer than the other fitness watches but still tracks so much in its accompanying app! It's priced pretty competitively as well! Any of you hoping for (or shopping for) fitness gifts this year? Would love to hear!

Or shop the post below! Happy gifting!

We Can Do It All Giveaway

Happy Monday and Thanksgiving week!!! I've been leading you guys on for a while with talk of a giveaway, it's time I finally spill the beans! Not too long ago I hit the 50K followers mark on Instagram, and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate that (and all of you amazing readers) then by hosting a huge giveaway! I've teamed up with some of my favorite shops who have all graciously donated goodies for this giveaway - or these giveaways I should say! I've found most of you tend to fall into at least one if not all of these categories below so I'm having a giveaway targeted to each - for my working women, my nonstop mamas, and my medicine women! You can enter all three giveaways if you like! Here are the details of each giveaway below and how to enter:

1. Working Woman Giveaway:

2. Nonstop Mama Giveaway:

SO many goodies to give away - and there will be one lucky winner for each giveaway - that means three winners!! So how to enter? This giveaway is being run exclusively over on my Instagram page, there you will find the giveaway images for each giveaway. Make sure you are following me and all of the shops involved in the giveaway and repost the image to your page with the hashtag #wecandoitallgiveaway. In order to see your entry, your profile shouldn't be private (for those of you who want to keep it private, just turn it public between 7 and 8am ET on Thanksgiving Day when I'll be randomly choosing winners).

For one extra entry you can mention a friend in the comment of the photo, and for another entry make sure to sign up for my weekly newsletter that I'll be publishing soon! You can sign up here! Good luck everyone, and as always, thank you so much for reading and following along.
